Can you service my car?
Answer: I can service most makes and models of car.
Where do you work?
Answer: I work Mobile so I come to you. I will work at your home - I just need a suitable space.
My car will not start, can you help?
Answer: Yes I can come to you and deal with most non starts.
Do you have diagnostic equipment?
Answer: I have the latest computer based diagnostic equipment which covers the majority of cars, and systems (ABS, engine, airbag etc)
I have a gravel drive can you work here?
Answer: Yes most surfaces are fine - I have pads and boards for jacking and lying on. Steep hills may cause a problem. I cannot work on the road.
Are you qualified?
Answer: Yes. I am City and Guilds qualified with 20 years experience and a member of the Institute of the Motor Industry. I have worked with several main dealers and manufacturers and attended several specific training programs.
What about the weather?
Answer: If the weather is very wet major work may have to be postponed.
Are you insured?
Answer: I have the same insurance as any garage would have. All cars are insured fully comprehensively up to £100,000 whilst in my care.
When do you work?
Answer: Normal hours are 9am to 5pm weekdays, other times by arrangement.

Do you work on classic cars?
Answer: I specialise in work on classic cars, I have spent many years working with classic car restoration companies.
Can you give me an estimate of costs?
Answer: I always give an estimate of costs if needed and never do work without authorisation.
Can you do an MOT?
Answer: Yes. I am an MOT tester but would have to take the vehicle to the MOT testing station where I am licensed to test. This would incur additional costs.
How do I pay you?
Do you charge a call out fee?
Answer: No, but I charge mileage to and from the location.
How soon can you help me?
Answer: It depends on workload, usually within the hour, sometimes much longer.
I want someone to help me repair my car. Can you help me?
Answer: Depends on what you specifically want.
Do you have a workshop?
Answer: No I only work mobile.
I race, can you help me?
Answer: I am involved in looking after several vehicles which race in historic racing series and cars used for classic car rallys and tours.
